Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Kevin McBirney, Bridgewater State
Graduate, E. Bridgewater, Mass.
McBirney broke his own school record in the 800-meter run this past weekend at the Saucony Battle For Boston held at Boston University. Finished 14th in the event with a time of 1:51.02 as he eclipsed his previous indoor standard of 1:51.79 established earlier this season at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic. The meet featured predominantly Division I and track club athletes. Currently ranks seventh in all of Division III in the 800 and second in the East Region.

Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Cameron Monette, Fitchburg State
Graduate, Winchendon, Mass.
Monette placed first overall in the shotput with a toss of 13.21 meters before finishing second overall in the weight throw with an All-New England qualifying toss of 17.38 meters for the Falcons at the 2026 USATF NE Championships, hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.

Men’s Indoor Track Rookie of the Week
Paulino Guevara Mateo, Fitchburg State
Freshman, Cambridge, Mass.
Mateo finished second overall in the 5000 meter with an All-New England qualifying and new school record time of 14:31.49 for the Falcons at the 2026 USATF NE Championships, hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.
