The There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her Winter 2026 anime has received a main trailer and a January 6 premiere date.
It was also announced that the ending song is “Kimi Koryaku Game” by Hiyori Omiya.
There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her is based on the Futabasha-published manga drawn by Kairi. The premise sees protagonist Yoki reincarnating in a fantasy world as the underling of the Demon King and falling in love with the priest Cecilia, who arrives as part of the Hero’s Party to take down the Demon King.
The story comes from Suisei and was first published as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel starting in 2013. Three light novel volumes illustrated by La-na were published between 2014 to 2015 under Futabasha’s Monster Bunko label.
La-na is listed as the original character designer in the anime’s credits.
