A teaser trailer for the I Want To End This Love Game TV anime adaptation has been released. It previews the titular “love game” of the show, where childhood friends and lead characters Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura try to make the other feel flustered, be it through saying “I love you” or doing a kabedon.
No premiere date update was given, but you’ll be able to see where that complicated relationship leads starting in April 2026.
I Want To End This Love Game is based on the manga by Yuki Domoto. Viz Media describes the synopsis as such:
After leaving behind his image as a quiet nerd, Yukiya’s ready to break hearts and take names with the ultimate high school glow-up. Well, he’s really just got one girl in his sights—his best friend, Miku! Using her favorite shojo manga as his weapon, he’s prepared to pin her to the wall and gaze at her with the perfect smolder! Will his advances get her heart racing? Or will Yukiya end up making a fool of himself?
The manga began in Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry in 2021 and has seven volumes as of June 2025.
