The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday sealed 121 properties as part of its ongoing operation against illegal commercial buildings in LDA-controlled areas.
Following the directives of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, the Town Planning Wing launched a large-scale enforcement operation.
The operation covered multiple localities, including Raiwind Road, Township, New Muslim Town, Johar Town, Gulberg, New Garden Town, Gujjarpura, Government Superior Services Scheme, and Sabzazar.
Officials sealed 34 properties on Raiwind Road, 15 in Township, and seven in New Muslim Town due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialization fees.
In addition, 21 properties in Johar Town, 19 in Gulberg and New Garden Town, and 14 in Gujjarpura were sealed for unauthorised commercial activities.
During recovery operations, LDA teams also sealed 11 properties in Allama Government Superior Services Scheme and Sabzazar.
The sealed properties include banks, schools, clinics, bakeries, pharmacies, juice corners, hardware stores, auto workshops, marble shops, showrooms, restaurants, beauty salons, food points, grocery stores, shops, offices, and other commercial units.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
