The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) school-level initiative is set to conclude at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium with a high-profile final as Beaconhouse and Aitchison College go head-to-head.
The 40-over competition, Ghani Glass School Cricket Tournament, held under PCB’s umbrella, comprised 31 matches and will culminate on Saturday, 20 December.
According to the prize structure, the winning team will receive Rs. 1 million, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs. 500,000.
Individual awards have also been announced:
- Player of the Tournament: Rs. 75,000
- Best Bowler: Rs. 50,000
- Best Batter: Rs. 50,000
- Best Wicketkeeper: Rs. 50,000
To encourage crowd participation, the PCB has announced free entry for spectators in four general enclosures at Gaddafi Stadium for the final.
While Ghani Glass is supporting school cricket at Gaddafi, their senior outfit is also in action in the ongoing President’s Grade‑I One‑Day Cup 2025, where several departmental sides are battling it out.
The tournament has already produced some big wins and high scores, with Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) currently on top in the points table.
Ghani Glass has had a mixed but competitive run so far, recording convincing victories over teams like Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), while also losing to teams like Sahir Associates, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), and Pakistan Television (PTV). They are currently fifth on the points table.
