Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods Unveils New Visual, Trailer & Ending Theme Song

A new key visual, third trailer, and ending theme song have been unveiled for the upcoming Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin airing in Japan on April 4, 2026.

The show’s main ending theme is “Utamahi” by Japanese rock band JYOCHO. Meanwhile, the opening theme, which is highlighted in the newly released trailer, is “Odoroki no Ko” by voice actor Miyu Irino

Sekiju Sekino is directing the anime series, with Yuji Kobayashi (Sailor Moon Crystal) as series composer. JUVENAGE is in charge of the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes: 

  • • Shogo Sakata as Minato Kusunoki
  • • Shinshu Fuji as Yamagami
  • • Minako Kotobuki as Torika
  • • Shinnosuke Tokudome as Seri
  • • Makoto Koichi as Utsugi
  • • Yuichiro Umehara as Saiga Harima
  • • Yoshiki Nakajima as Fujin
  • • Daiki Kobayashi as Raijin 

The slice of life fantasy light novel series is written by Enju and illustrated by ox, which was first published under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki no Shinbungei imprint on November 17, 2021 and has released 11 volumes as of November 2025. A 12th volume will be published in Japan on April 17, 2026. The light novel series’ Japanese title is Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei

The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in April 2021. A manga adaptation by Akira Anzai was also launched in November 2021.

Yen Press licensed the Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods light novels for English release, and describes the main synopsis of the first volume as: 

Deep in the countryside, Minato Kusunoki is left in charge of a terrifying house overflowing with evil spirits — or at least it was, until his extraordinary ability cleared them all out! Instead, a procession of unique and peculiar gods is drawn to the comfort of the purified Kusunoki residence, and Minato spends his days relaxing in the company of his spiritual neighbors. What else lies in store for Minato as he lives peacefully surrounded by gods?
