A new key visual and more cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Kunon the Sorcerer Can See TV anime series, which will begin broadcasting in Japan on January 4, 2026.

The two new cast members joining the series include Rikako Yamaguchi as Jenie Kors and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Zeonly Finroll.
They join the anime’s previously announced voice cast that includes Saori Hayami as Kunon, Maaya Uchida as Iko, and Akari Kito as Princess Mirika.
Hideaki Oba (Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me) is directing the anime series, with Yuki Enatsu (Unlimited Fafnir) as series composer and scriptwriter, Yoko Sato (I’m in Love with the Villainess) and Toshimitsu Kobayashi (Spice and Wolf II) as character designers, and TRYTONELABO’s Shunsuke Takizawa (Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included) as music composer. Platinum Vision is in charge of the animation production.
The fantasy light novel series is written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. It was first published by the KADOKAWA Books imprint on March 10, 2022 and has released seven volumes as of March 2025. The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in August 2021.
A manga adaptation by La-na was launched in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga series for English release.

Kunon, a young man who cannot see, has the goal of creating new eyes with water magic. After just five months of learning sorcery, Kunon surpassed his own mentor and honed his talent as he tried to do a feat that’s never been done before. A fantasy about a young man, a blind genius, who opens up the world through curiosity in the pursuit for magic is about to begin.
