The newest main trailer for the upcoming Kunon the Sorcerer Can See TV anime series has been revealed, previewing the show’s opening theme song. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan on January 4, 2026. The anime’s first two episodes will also debut on the ABEMA and d Anime Store Japanese streaming services on the same day.
The new trailer previews the opening theme “Rakenaria no Yume” by Isekaijoucho. Meanwhile, the newly announced ending theme for the series is “Story feat. katagiri” by KOHTA YAMAMOTO.
Hideaki Oba (Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me) is directing the anime series, with Yuki Enatsu (Unlimited Fafnir) as series composer and scriptwriter, Yoko Sato (I’m in Love with the Villainess) and Toshimitsu Kobayashi (Spice and Wolf II) as character designers, and TRYTONELABO’s Shunsuke Takizawa (Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included) as music composer. Platinum Vision is handling the animation production.
The anime’s main voice cast includes:

The fantasy light novel series is written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. It was first published by the KADOKAWA Books imprint on March 10, 2022 and has released eight volumes as of December 2025. The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in August 2021.
A manga adaptation by La-na was launched in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga series for English release.
