A new trailer has been revealed for the ongoing Kunon the Sorcerer Can See TV anime series, highlighting Kunon attending magic school. The anime began broadcasting in Japan on January 4, 2026.
Hideaki Oba (Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me) is directing the anime series, with Yuki Enatsu (Unlimited Fafnir) as series composer and scriptwriter, Yoko Sato (I’m in Love with the Villainess) and Toshimitsu Kobayashi (Spice and Wolf II) as character designers, and TRYTONELABO’s Shunsuke Takizawa (Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included) as music composer. Platinum Vision is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The fantasy light novel series is written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. It was first published by the KADOKAWA Books imprint on March 10, 2022 and has released eight volumes as of December 2025. The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in August 2021.
A manga adaptation by La-na was launched in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga series for English release.
