Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi held a sit-in protest at Factory Naka near Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, on November 27, 2025, after being denied for the eighth time a meeting with jailed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Despite the Islamabad High Court’s orders allowing the visit, the police blocked Afridi’s march to the prison, citing no official reasons for ignoring the court directives.
Afridi expressed deep concern over Imran Khan’s continued isolation, noting that since October 27, none of his close family members, doctors, lawyers, or party leaders have been allowed to see him.
He warned authorities of a “final course of action” if restrictions persist, highlighting the growing public anxiety fueled by international media reports on the former premier’s health.
The KP CM emphasised the deteriorating situation and the lack of response from judicial authorities despite repeated appeals.
He reiterated PTI’s demand for access to ensure Khan’s well-being and called on the federal and Punjab governments to take responsibility for the escalating crisis.
While a jail official asserted that Imran Khan is in good health and no transfer plans exist, concerns remain heightened among PTI members and supporters.
