KonoSuba To Have 4th Season

KonoSuba To Have 4th Season

The KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! TV anime is getting a fourth season. The announcement comes on the year of the anime’s 10th anniversary.

A new anime was announced back in 2025, but its format was unknown at the time.

Separately, a 10th anniversary visual featuring the cast was revealed, and there’s also the announcement of a new game called Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! ~Kono Aisubeki Machi ni Hanei o!~ for mobile and PC. The game, which comes with an original story, will be out on 2026 and has the supervision of KonoSuba author Natsume Akatsuki and the “cooperation” of KonoSuba illustrator Kurone Mishima.

The KonoSuba series follows the misadventures of Kazuma, who is reincarnated in a fantasy world after his death. After dragging the questionable goddess who gave him his shot at a second life with him, Kazuma eventually forms a party with the goddess, a masochistic crusader, and an explosion-obsessed mage. The first season of the isekai comedy anime debuted in 2016 and was followed by a second season, the KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson movie, a TV anime adaptation of the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off, and a third season. The latest anime instalment was 2025’s two-episode KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! 3 -Bonus Stage- OVA.

The main anime is based on the light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, which was published under the KADOKAWA Sneaker Bunko label from 2013 to 2020 with 17 main volumes and three short story anthologies. Yen Press describes the light novels as such:

Game loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life as a young schoolboy in Japan abruptly comes to an early end…or at least it was supposed to. When he opens his eyes, though, he sees a beautiful goddess that offers him a once in an after-lifetime chance to be reborn in a parallel world. The catch is that the world is violent and threatened by a growing evil! Fortunately, he can choose any one thing to bring with him. So he chooses the goddess, Aqua! And so his adventure with his gorgeous companion begins–if he could just get enough money and food to survive, keep his goddess out of trouble, and avoid grabbing the attention of the Demon King’s army!

KonoSuba began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2012. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Masahito Watari and several spin-offs.

The first two KonoSuba anime seasons were produced at Studio Deen, while the 2019 movie KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson was a J.C.STAFF production. Season 3 and Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! were Drive productions.
