A teaser visual for the upcoming Killed Again, Mr. Detective? TV anime has been released, depicting the titular detective slumped over the lap of his assistant.
There are also new cast announcements, which reveal the castings of Katsuyuki Konishi, Yoshino Aoyama, Rie Kugimiya, and Yuki Takada. Takada has a dual role.

Killed Again, Mr. Detective?‘s (Mata Korosareteshimatta no desune, Tantei-sama) is set to premiere in April. It is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Teniwoha and illustrated by Riichu. There is a manga as well, which Yen Press describes as such:
Sakuya Outsuki is the son of a legendary detective, striving to follow in his father’s footsteps with the help of his assistant, Lilithea. This isn’t your average high-school sleuth, though-because he comes back to life every time he’s killed! Being a little too familiar with death and always awakening to Lilithea by his side, Sakuya’s happy to take on low-risk cases. Surely investigating a movie producer’s affair on a luxury cruise ship won’t pose any real threat! But when the duo ends up entangled in a larger and bloodier situation, Sakuya will have to get to the bottom of the mystery…and die trying!
The light novel series started in August 2021 and has six volumes as of November 2025. It is published under KADOKAWA’s MF Bunko J label.
