Kieran Gilbert to lead SKY NEWS coverage of South Australia election

Sky News Australia is gearing up for a big weekend in Adelaide as the network prepares comprehensive coverage of the South Australian election.

With the final leaders debate already done and polling day fast approaching this weekend, the broadcaster will roll out live programming, panel analysis and plenty of crosses to party headquarters across the night.

Earlier this week, the Sky News / The Advertiser Leaders’ Debate saw South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas and Opposition Leader Ashton Hurn face off in their final clash before voters head to the polls.

Moderated by Sky News Australia Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert, the debate marked the final televised showdown of the campaign, with some commentators suggesting Opposition Leader Ashton Hurn edged the exchange.

Adelaide based host Chris Kenny will also take his opinion program on the road, broadcasting The Kenny Report live from the city across two nights as the campaign enters its final stretch with political guests and insiders joining the discussion.

On election night, Kieran Gilbert will anchor South Australia Decides: Election Night LIVE on Sky News Australia alongside Political Editor Andrew Clennell and Chief Election Analyst Tom Connell, with federal politicians Amanda Rishworth and Tony Pasin joining the panel.

Coverage will cross live to Laura Jayes at Labor HQ, Chris Kenny at Liberal HQ and Paul Murray reporting from One Nation HQ, with party figures and candidates offering reaction as the results unfold.
