Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) has announced a special promotional offer to boost voter participation ahead of the elections on April 9.
Voters will be eligible to purchase 1 kg of Supplyco’s brand of ‘puttu’ powder for ₹1 on the two days following the polls. The offer will be applicable to customers who make purchases worth more than ₹1,000 on non-subsidised items at Supplyco outlets.
To avail of the benefit, voters must present proof of voting by showing the indelible ink mark on their finger.
According to official sources, the offer aims to incentivise citizens to actively engage in the democratic process.
The campaign is being jointly organised in association with the district administration, the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative of the Election Commission of India. The programme is part of broader efforts to raise electoral awareness and participation.
Eligible voters can redeem the offer by visiting Supplyco outlets on April 10 and 11.
Supplyco is currently organising Statewide Easter-Vishu fairs across its retail network in Kerala. The initiative is part of the State government’s market intervention strategy to curb price volatility and ensure the availability of essential commodities at subsidised rates during the festive season.
All Supplyco outlets, except Maveli stores, have been repurposed as fair venues until April 14.
