A new visual for the upcoming The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie has been revealed, showcasing Kana Ichikawa performing for her band Primary COLOR. The anime compilation film will premiere in Japan on February 13, 2026.

The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie is a compilation of the TV anime’s two seasons with new content such as a certain “special” moment between Kyotaro and Anna Yamada, as well as a live performance scene featuring Kyotaro’s sister, Kana.
HIDIVE announced last month that The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie will be screened in U.S. theaters on February 16, 2026 (English sub) and February 18, 2026 (English dub). The anime film will screen in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Fairfax.
Outside of the U.S., there will also be screenings in Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile, Peru, some Central American locations, and more.

Hiroaki Akagi (director of Season 1 and 2) is serving as chief director, with Dali Chen (new) as director, Jukki Hanada (series composer and scriptwriter of Season 1 and 2) as scriptwriter, Masato Katsumata (same credit) as character designer, and Kensuke Ushio (same credit) as music composer. Shin-Ei Animation is once again in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast stars Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa and Hina Yomiya as Anna Yamada.
The anime’s first season ran from April 2023 to June 2023, while the second season aired during the Winter 2024 anime season from January 2024 to March 2024.
Norio Sakurai’s romantic comedy manga series has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website since July 10, 2018. Thirteen tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2026. Akita Shoten announced last month that the manga’s 14th volume will be its last. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga series for English release.
A spinoff manga by Haika Nanasaka focused on Kana Ichikawa was launched on the Champion Cross website on July 22, 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga’s main synopsis as:
Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. He spends his days dreaming up ways to disrupt his classmates’ peaceful lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
