KAM’S Food and Dessert has just rebranded, unveiling a fresh orange look and a completely revamped menu under owner Kam Almadhoun. Originally called Grill & Chill Acai, Kam said the rebrand is a part of something bigger.
But for now, his focus is on Kam’s Food and Dessert in Kilburn. It’s not just the exterior of the business that’s had a fresh lick of paint. The menu has changed, too.
“Everything’s changed – you name it. It’s pretty much a brand-new business now,” said Kam.
Customers can eat in or out, with plenty of tables outside for those enjoying desserts or a late-night snack. “I designed the shop so you come inside, get your burgers, get your food, and then on the way out you can enjoy your dessert outside. There’s plenty of space,” he said.
Kam said the concept was born when he noticed that, for a full going-out experience, he would have to visit multiple locations in Adelaide. But at KAM’S, he combines the sweet and savoury options under the same roof.
“There’s no need to hit a second shop,” he said.

What also sets KAM’S aside from other businesses is its downright commitment to serve the local community. He is committed to making the menu affordable and accessible for the community while still offering a variety. Prices start $13 for burgers and $15 for desserts, keeping the meals accessible without compromising on quality.
Desserts are a major highlight at KAM’S, particularly the crepes, which diners can top with their choice of fresh fruits. Other sweet options include milkshakes, acai bowls, vanilla sundaes, and banana splits. The acai bowls let customers pick up to nine fresh fruits, setting them apart from standard offerings elsewhere.
On the savoury side, KAM’S offers smash burgers, creative sandwiches like the Tex-Mex and Parmi and a range of loaded fries. Additionally, Kam makes his own buffalo sauce, ranch sauce and cheese sauce in-house. It makes the signature burgers like the Big Kam standout and pop with flavour.
