REMOW has revealed a new visual and main theme songs for the upcoming second cour of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube. The series will return to broadcast in Japan sometime in January 7, 2026.

The new opening theme for the second cour will be “ERASE,” by Japanese rock band THE ORAL CIGARETTES, while the ending theme will be “MAGICAL,” by singer-songwriter Ayumu Imazu.
Details on global streaming for the second cour of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube will be announced at a later date.
The anime series will also have a stage event at Jump Festa 2026, which takes place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from December 20, 2025 to December 21, 2025. The event will occur on December 21, 2025 from 12:50 PM JST to 1:30 PM JST and feature several of the anime’s voice cast, which includes Ryotaro Okiayu, Ryoko Shiraishi, Aya Suzaki, and Tomoyo Kurosawa.
Yasuyuki Oishi (Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin assistant director) is directing the anime series, with Fumito Yamada (Hell’s Paradise Episode 8 director) as assistant director, Yoshiki Okusa (The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases co-scriptwriter) as series composer, Yu Yoshiyama (Mahoutsukai Precure!! Mirai Days main animator) as character designer, and Atsuko Takahashi (A Nobody’s Way Up to an Exploration Hero costume designer) as assistant character designer.
Other staff include Hironori Tanaka and Kijimaru as yokai designers, Takahiro Kagami (Jigoku Sensei Nube OVA Episode 3 co-character designer, Bucchigiri?! character designer) and Yu Yoshiyama as action directors, Hitoshi Tamura (Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 7) as screen designer, and Evan Call (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) as music composer. Studio Kai is in charge of the animation production.

The first cour aired for 13 episodes from July 2, 2025 to September 24, 2025. It premiered with a special 1-hour premiere, which contained the first two episodes airing back-to-back.
The original Jigoku Sensei Nube manga series is written by Sho Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on August 24, 1993 and ran until May 11, 1999. It was then followed by Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO and Jigoku Sensei Nube S, and also inspired the spin-offs Reibaishi Izuna and Reibaishi Izuna: Ascension.
A short series titled Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube PLUS was released this year between May and June on Shonen Jump+. Another new manga titled Jigoku Sensei Nube Kai debuted in Saikyo Jump on May 2, 2025.
A previous TV anime series produced by Toei Douga (now known as Toei Animation) aired from 1996 to 1997. The manga also inspired a 10-episode live-action drama in 2014.

Netflix streamed the series in Asian territories outside of Japan and China, while REMOW’s It’s Anime YouTube channel released it in “limited territories” that included the U.S. and Canada.
The series was also streamed on aniverse in Germany, ANIME GENERATION in Italy, Anime Onegai in Latin America, and Chunghwa Telecom’s MOD and Hami Video in “the Taiwan region” for the first four months.
REMOW describes the main premise of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube as:
The town of Domori has been plagued by several inexplicable phenomena. To protect the town’s children, a new homeroom teacher named Nube arrives.
Though normally gentle and somewhat outgoing, Nube has a secret side: he is the only psychic teacher in Japan. Rumor has it that his left hand is possessed by a demon.
The messenger of Hell’s justice is here to take on the school’s seven mysteries, ghosts, and evil spirits attacking his students. This occult action story starts now!
