Islamabad United Directly Sign New Zealand Star for PSL 11

Islamabad United have pulled off a major move ahead of 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), directly signing New Zealand batter Devon Conway as their latest overseas addition for the 2026 season.

The franchise confirmed the signing through an official poster announcing Conway as a direct signing, with the deal listed at Rs. 6.30 crore.

Given Islamabad United has signed Luke Ronchi as Head Coach with Kiwi all-rounder Jacob Oram, Devon Conway will feel right at home with United.

The left-hander is expected to add serious firepower at the top order, bringing experience across formats and a reputation for scoring quickly while keeping the innings under control.

Conway arrives with a standout T20I record as well. He is regarded as the fourth-fastest player to reach 1,000 runs in T20 internationals, underlining how rapidly he made his mark in the shortest format after breaking into New Zealand’s setup.

While PSL fans know him primarily as a high-class white-ball batter, Conway has also built a strong red-ball profile. He recently enjoyed a year that pushed him into the conversation among modern elite openers, highlighted by a remarkable performance against the West Indies where he registered a double century and a century in the same Test, a first for a New Zealand batter.

His consistency throughout the year, with an exceptional average, reflected his control against both pace and spin.

Conway will join Shadab Khan, Andries Gous, and Salman Irshad in the list of retained stars ahead of PSL 11 player auction on February 11.
