Islamabad Closes 5 Most Popular Hiking Trails to the Public

The Office of the District Magistrate has announced the temporary closure of several popular hiking routes in Islamabad.

According to an official notification issued on April 11, 2026, Trails 2, 3, 4, 5, as well as the connecting route from Trail 5 to Saidpur Village, will remain closed to the public from April 12 onward.

The decision impacts some of the capital’s most visited recreational and tourist hiking spots. While authorities have not disclosed specific reasons, these measures are linked to security arrangements and administrative requirements for the ongoing US-Iran ceasefire talks in the federal capital.
