Into The Grand Line Releases Teaser Trailer

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for One Piece: Into The Grand Line, the second season of the One Piece live-action series adaptation. The new look mainly highlights the assassins of the Baroque Works organization, including Miss All Sunday.

One Piece: Into The Grand Line is set to debut on March 10, more than two years after Season 1 landed on Netflix’ shores in August 2023. Netflix’s logline for the new season reads:

Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, ONE PIECE, returns for Season 2—unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.

The show is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Eiichiro Oda, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and has 113 volumes as of November 2025. Season 2’s showrunners are Matt Owens, who was also part of Season 1 and announced his departure in 2025 after Season 2 finished filming, and newcomer Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians and A Series of Unfortunate Events co-writer). Steven Maeda was co-showrunner for the previous season and remained on Season 2 as an executive producer. Ian Stokes will join Tracz in the role for Season 3.

The One Piece manga has inspired a 1997 Production I.G-produced OVA, which was followed two years later by a still-ongoing Toei Animation-produced TV anime and a series of anime movies. The franchise in its current form also features spin-offs and video games.

VIZ Media describes the manga as such:

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer “Red-Haired” Shanks. But his life changed when Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber…at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, still vowing to become the king of the pirates, Luffy sets out on his adventure…one guy alone in a rowboat, in search of the legendary “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world…
