The HoYoFair YouTube channel has dropped an animated music video starring Genshin Impact‘s upcoming playable character Columbina Hyposelenia. The song “Michiru Tsukikage no Kanata” is sung by Lynn, Columbina’s Japanese voice actor.
Two teams worked on the video’s animation. Most sections (from the start to 1:45, then from 2:27 to 2:40) were handled by Team DAMA, with DAMA directing and sharing the “Animating” credit (the Team DAMA credits also have a separate “Animation” section). The rest was done by Team STUDIO NOWOKA, with Nowoka (ZUTOMAYO “Pain Give Form” music video director et al.) storyboarding and directing. The character design for Team STUDIO NOWOKA’s section was handled by bees inc.’s Yutaka Kinutani, who was also the chief animation director.
Columbina will join Genshin Impact‘s playable cast with the free-to-play open-world RPG’s Version 6.3 update, Luna IV, which arrives on January 14. The 5-star Hydro character will be part of the Somnias a Luna banner with a boosted drop-rate and is event-exclusive. Other upcoming new playable names are the Geo characters Zibai (5 stars) and Illuga (4 stars).
