The 98th Academy Awards are shaping up to be one of the most exciting shows yet, with the races for major categories like best actor and best picture still up in the air. (Need help with your predictions? We’ve got you covered.) But once the Oscars 2026 conclude and all the awards have been handed out, there’s only one place you want to be: the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026. For the 31st year, Vanity Fair is hosting the post-ceremony shindig where Hollywood’s brightest stars will converge to drink and dance into the wee hours of the morning. This year the party is moving to a brand-new location: the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), bringing together two powerhouses in art, media, and entertainment.
Don’t worry if you’re not on the guest list. You can still get in on the action by watching the Vanity Fair Oscar Party red-carpet livestream, hosted by internet darlings Quenlin Blackwell, Jake Shane, and Brittany Broski. Wondering when to tune in? You can watch Vanity Fair’s red-carpet livestream on vanityfair.com and youtube.com/vanityfair directly after the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 15 at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
To prepare for the big night, check out Vanity Fair’s oral history of the Oscar party, in which stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Lindsay Lohan shared their favorite memories from Vanity Fair Oscar parties of yore. “I showed up wearing a long white Versace dress. I was so nervous that it was going to get ruined,” Lohan recalled. Luckily, she had a backup dress in her Birkin. “I went into the bathroom to change. Stella McCartney was in the bathroom with a bunch of other actresses, wondering what I was doing. I was like, ‘I’m changing because I don’t want to ruin this beautiful gown!’” Paltrow recalled arriving to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party with her very own Oscar after winning best actress for Shakespeare in Love in 1999. “Walking into the Oscar party with an Academy Award was a surreal and out-of-body experience,” she said. “I felt somewhere between floating and completely disassociated.”
Be sure to stay up late with Vanity Fair and keep the party going after the Oscars: You never know who might show up.
