How to shop Coco Gauff’s Australian Open collection with New Balance- RUSSH

Coco Gauff has spent the last few years reshaping what it means to be a tennis star — not just on the court, but in the realm of personal style and self-expression. From vibrant colours and creative cut-outs, to personalised touches like a hand-written signature on her shoe, Gauff has long been leading the charge in the tennis world, sartorially speaking. Now, as the Australian Open begins, New Balance is giving fans a chance to step into her world: the brand has unveiled Gauff’s Australian Open kit, and for the first time, a version of her custom look will be available to purchase.

Designed with Coco specifically for the first major tournament of the season (it helps, of course, that New Balance is the Official Performance Apparel and Footwear provider of the Australian Open), the kit is built for performance — but it’s also a celebration of summer. It’s only fitting, when you consider Gauff will wear it on the sunny courts of Melbourne. New Balance describes it as a “love letter to style,” and the collection’s fluid lines and bold colour palette make that clear. It’s a kit designed to move with the body, but also to make a statement against Melbourne’s iconic blue courts.

It follows that the pieces themselves are unapologetically bright, drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape: hot marigold, navy blue, and daybreak periwinkle. The colours feel optimistic and energetic, a nod both to the promise of a new season, and also the sense of renewal that comes with the start of a grand slam.

The collection is divided into three distinct looks, each representing a different chapter of Gauff’s tournament journey. There’s the on-court look, which features a perforated stretch tank paired with a pleated skirt and a flirtatious hem — designed to feel both elegant and effortless in motion. The practice look is made up of a cropped tee and shorts that offer a clean, athletic silhouette. And finally, there’s the walk-on look: an oversized colour-blocked tracksuit that turns pre-match warmups into a bold style moment. There’s also footwear to complete each look, with a fresh CG2 colourway and two new Coco Delray colorways to complete the vision.

New Balance says the collection is inspired by Gauff’s evolution as both an athlete and a style icon — a message Gauff has echoed herself. “I wanted something that felt powerful yet feminine – and shared my love for bold colours and the beach! I’m excited that fans can now wear a kit inspired by my on-court look. It’s a special way to share this journey with them.”
