The upcoming Hirayasumi TV anime has received a teaser visual and a planned January 2027 broadcast start date.

The website also reveals that Kei Suezawa (Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram director) is the anime’s director, series composer, and scriptwriter, while other staff include:
• Character designer: Naoyuki Asano (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!)
• Background art director: Mika Nishimura (Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction)
• Music composer: Kaori Sawada
It was previously known that Production +h. is the animation production studio.
Hirayasumi is based on the slice-of-life manga by Keigo Shinzo. Viz Media, which is co-producing the anime (in the non-animation production sense) with Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd., describes the manga as such:
After developing an unlikely friendship with the grouchy old woman who lives in his neighborhood, Hiroto suddenly finds himself inheriting not just her house but some rather difficult emotions as well. His 18-year-old cousin, Natsumi, moves in with him, but as a struggling art student, she has her own troubles to deal with and may just put Hiroto’s easygoing lifestyle to the test.
The manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits in April 2021 and will release its 10th volume on April 30, 2026 (JST).
A live-action series adaptation of Hirayasumi was announced with the anime.
