After weekend headlines fuelled concern over a Bathurst crash, Grant Denyer has quickly set the record straight, revealing the incident was overstated and he is already back filming in Melbourne.
The Deal or No Deal host has brushed off the drama following a hit during the Bathurst 6 Hour, confirming a precautionary hospital check and a swift return to set to tape new episodes for Network 10.
Denyer was competing at Mount Panorama across the weekend as part of the Game Over GC team when his car was pushed into the wall while running near the front of the field.

The incident prompted a hospital visit as part of standard procedure, but he later confirmed there were no serious injuries, with early online reports overstating the crash, his hospitalisation and his condition.
Taking to Instagram on Monday night, Denyer addressed the reports, reassuring followers he was already back in Melbourne with daughter Scout and straight into filming new episodes of Deal or No Deal.
Denyer said the situation had been overplayed and emphasised how quickly things returned to normal.
“UPDATE : I’m totally fine. Was nice to be leading the race, not so nice when a car hit me into the wall. But I’m happy, healthy & already back at work filming”
He also shared a glimpse of his day off track, balancing family time before returning to work.
“Made my wife Brekky in bed today for Easter.. and spoilt her like she deserves.. Then back to Melbourne this arvo and shocked by the commotion..”
Denyer added that despite the headlines, the experience had not dampened his outlook on racing or work.
“I absolutely adore my family. Love my job.. And enjoy racing with @gameovergc. It’s a good day.. not a bad one like has been reported I am sorry.”
The popular game show host is no stranger to racing, with years in motorsport and firsthand experience of its risks after suffering a fractured vertebra in a 2008 monster truck crash that required months of recovery.

For Denyer, it’s back to work and business as usual, juggling family, game show hosting and his love of motorsport without missing a beat.
