A Tv anime adaptation of the Dankatsu series (Game Sekai Tensei 〈Dankatsu〉~Gamer wa【Dungeon Shukatsu no Susume】o〈Hajime kara〉Play suru~, or Reincarnation in the Game World Dankatsu: Game Addict Plays “Encouragement For Job Hunting in Dungeons from a “New Game”) has been announced.
The premise sees a gamer reincarnating inside Dankatsu, a well-received fantasy game of ambitious scope.

Dankatsu started as a web novel by Kaede Nishikigi, debuting in this form in 2021 on Shosetsuka ni Naro and Kakuyomu. A TO Books-published light novel series illustrated by Shuri began publication in March 2022 and will release its 15th volume on March 15, 2026 (JST).
A manga by Hiroshi Asagi started serialization in April 2022.
