Gachiakuta Gets “Survival Action RPG” for PS5, Xbox, Steam

Gachiakuta: The Game has been announced. It’s a “stylish survival action RPG” that will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam in an unspecified future.

A trailer depicted with the game’s “in-development graphics” was released and shows characters like Rudo, Enjin, and Riyo.

Developer Com2uS says that the cel-shaded game will involve heading into “monster-infested zones” for missions and getting out and has a “unique narrative that captures the essence of the original anime.” It also wants the game to “deliver the series’ intense combat and distinctive visual style through a fully realized experience optimized for both console and PC environments.”

Com2uS also mentioned that it’s continuing to “collaborate closely with Kodansha, participating in multiple anime production committees including Gachiakuta. Both companies are strengthening their partnership to broaden the global reach and value of these IPs, with the development of this new title expected to further expand the possibilities of the Gachiakuta universe.”

The Gachiakuta action manga by Kei Urana (with graffiti art by Hideyoshi Ando) previously inspired a recently concluded BONES FILM-produced two-cour TV anime that premiered on July 6. The manga started publication in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and has 17 volumes as of November 2025.

Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes it as such:

In this highly-anticipated new action manga, a young boy is framed for murder and cast off the edge of a floating city into the abyss, where he grapples with the monsters that the elite high above would rather forget. The more the rich glitter, the higher the price paid by the poor…

With a premise that recalls Battle Angel Alita and kinetic battles reminiscent of Attack on Titan, Gachiakuta is a must-read for fans of dark, dystopian fantasies like Deadman Wonderland!
