Tanisha and Dev Purohit’s wedding was a heartfelt homecoming—an ode to their roots, their families, and the village that shaped their story. Though both were born and raised in Mumbai, their families share deep ties to Badgaon Raniwara, a place woven into their history. When the time came to choose a wedding venue, they had endless possibilities, from luxury destinations to grand five-star properties. Yet their hearts gravitated to something far more meaningful: celebrating on their own land. Entrusting WeddingSutra Favorite – Show Mania Events and Entertainment with the planning and décor for the bride’s side brought this vision alive, turning an emotional choice into an unforgettable celebration.
For them, Badgaon Raniwara was more than a location, it was memory, identity, and legacy. They imagined celebrating their biggest milestone in the very village where their families began their journey. This choice shaped every aspect of the wedding, and from the moment they shared their vision with Show Mania Events and Entertainment, the direction was clear: build a celebration rooted in home and heart.
The land chosen for the festivities was completely barren, untouched, and without any infrastructure. What they had was open ground. What they wanted was a warm, welcoming, grand wedding space, all created within just seven days. The design and planning team took on the challenge with complete dedication, crafting everything from scratch. The team levelled the space, built stages and pathways, installed lighting and seating, and designed every function with a distinct yet cohesive aesthetic. Piece by piece, the plain land transformed into a celebration venue filled with character, beauty, and the soul of Badgaon Raniwara.
The festivities began with a serene Path ceremony, designed to evoke purity and tradition. Banana leaves, brass muli, soft white drapes, and hanging lotus accents created an earthy, spiritually rich ambience. Fresh flowers and gentle textures added warmth, turning the space into a tranquil cocoon for close-knit rituals.
The sangeet unfolded like a night beneath the stars. A sophisticated black-and-gold palette set an elegant tone, while warm lights and crystal chandeliers added depth and sparkle. The ceiling, draped in twinkling fairy lights, created a starry canopy that lifted the mood instantly. White florals, candles, and chic seating combined to create a contemporary yet timeless charm.
For the Haldi, a setting that felt joyful, youthful, and full of life was designed. Pastel drapes softened the space, playful hot-air-balloon hangings floated overhead, and bright flowers added bursts of colour. Wicker baskets and handcrafted accents lent an organic feel, creating a cheerful, sun-washed atmosphere.
The wedding itself embraced tradition with understated grandeur. A floral mandap stood gracefully against the evening sky, creating a serene and captivating focal point. Soft peach drapes framed the space beautifully, while gold chairs and elegant centrepieces added a gentle regal touch.
