Friday 13th | Write Out Loud

Woke up this morning with a start

There was a pounding in my heart

The calendar screamed the number thirteen

Am I alive or caught in a dream

I am not a believer in superstition

But life is a shambolic condition

Friday thirteenth unlucky for some

Saw a black cat son of a gun

Thirteen disciples  sat down for a meal

Jesus was crucified how does it feel

Friday thirteenth unlucky for some

Shaved and then the mirror cracked

My reflection disappeared fact

Spilt the salt on the floor of the  kitchen

Threw it over my shoulder just wishing

Walked under a ladder it’s a cardinal sin

Umbrella open in house it’s looking grim

Friday thirteenth unlucky for some

Judas escariot was pure scum

Norse god Loki is on the prowl indeed

Mischief and deception guaranteed

Friday thirteenth unlucky for some
