FPSC Postpones Scheduled Interviews in Islamabad

FPSC Postpones Scheduled Interviews in Islamabad

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has postponed several interviews scheduled to be held at its Islamabad headquarters on April 9, 2026, following the local holiday announced by the federal government.

In a public notice issued, FPSC stated that the interviews scheduled in Islamabad on April 9 for the posts of Charge Nurse at Federal General Hospital and Assistant Professor at the Ministry of Education and Professional Training have been postponed.

FPSC said the interviews were postponed due to the holiday declared through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division. The commission added that the rescheduled dates will be announced later.

However, not all interviews have been affected. FPSC clarified that interviews for the posts of Medical Officers for the GB government will still be held on April 9 as per schedule through Zoom.

The development adds to a growing list of changes triggered by the holiday notification in Islamabad. Over the past two days, authorities have already announced closures affecting schools and colleges, NADRA offices, and several public hiking trails, while restrictions have also been placed on heavy vehicle movement in the capital.

The postponement shows that the impact of the Islamabad holiday is now extending beyond routine office closures and into recruitment and public sector administrative activity as the capital remains under heightened arrangements.
