Former Pakistan international cricketer Imad Wasim has confirmed that he has entered into a second marriage, after publicly announcing his divorce from Sania Ashfaq, bringing an end to their six-year relationship.
In a personal statement, the all-rounder reflected on the breakdown of his previous marriage, acknowledging past regrets while describing his children as the most important part of his life. He revealed that the marriage formally concluded in late December 2025 after what he termed years of unresolved issues.
Imad Wasim also addressed the criticism directed at his former wife during the separation, saying he accepts responsibility for factors that contributed to the situation becoming public and urged supporters and media to show empathy and respect the privacy of both families.

He has now married Nyla Raja, a lawyer and social media personality. According to Imad Wasim, the decision was made after careful consideration and with the guidance of his parents, with the aim of building a stable and peaceful future. Short video clips circulating online appear to show the couple celebrating at a private cake-cutting ceremony, drawing mixed reactions from social media users.
The cricketer reiterated his appeal for privacy, stressing that personal matters involving families and children should not be turned into public spectacle.
The divorce had first been announced in December through separate statements from both parties. Imad Wasim said at the time that he had filed for separation due to longstanding disputes that could not be reconciled, requesting the public to avoid sharing old photos of the couple or referring to Ashfaq as his spouse.
He also cautioned against spreading what he called misleading narratives and warned that legal action could be taken in cases of defamation.
The former couple share three children Sania Ashfaq. Imad Wasim has maintained that he will continue to fulfil his responsibilities as a father despite the separation.
Sania Ashfaq had said she chose to speak publicly not out of revenge but to stand up for herself and her children, adding that the matter remained legally contested and would ultimately be resolved through proper proceedings.
