Former Pakistan Captain Takes Legal Action Against Ahmed Shehzad for Defamation

Former Pakistan captain and current Pakistan Super League (PSL) batting coach of the Peshawar Zalmi, Misbah-ul-Haq, has reportedly issued a defamation notice to Ahmed Shehzad following a series of allegations made against him.

According to sources, Misbah has challenged the claims, terming them false and damaging to his reputation. The notice is said to demand a public retraction along with a clarification from Ahmed Shehzad regarding the statements.

Shehzad’s legal team is expected to respond within the next couple of days, as both sides move towards a potential legal battle.

The controversy stems from accusations made by Shehzad, who alleged that Misbah failed to ensure payment of dues to cricketer Haseebullah Khan.

Sources indicate that the matter is now under legal review, with consultations ongoing between the legal representatives of both parties.

This isn’t the first time Ahmed Shehzad has made controversial claims against Misbah-ul-Haq. Earlier this month, Ahmed Shehzad claimed Misbah’s “ego” was the reason why Haseebullah Khan has not been selected in the national side, including the most recent tour of Bangladesh, which featured several newcomers in the Pakistani lineup.

The situation continues to develop, with further action likely depending on the response to the notice and the outcome of initial legal discussions.
