In her recent podcast for Bakhabar Pakistan, Fiza Ali called out top Pakistani actors for having similar looks.
Talking to senior actor Usman Peerzada, Fiza Ali said, “Actors nowadays have similar looks, they have the same haircut, they have similar beard cuts, the directors have turned them into lookalikes, all have gelled-back hair, they all have a straight neck posture, they have the same expressions and same beard like Wahaj Ali, Danish Taimoor, and Imran Ashraf — all are same. I am not seeing versatility in them, they have no new look, getup, dressing, or style. How can we identify them? Is it the director’s fault? Usman Peerzada also said, “Current actors are mainly after money; we were not like that when we were acting, we were focused on work.” He further added how the Indian Doordarshan team came to meet them at the Teesra Kinara set because it was popular but upon his request of increasing payments, the director refused and said, ‘Acting should be a passion not profession’.
