The official Twitter/X and website of the short gag anime spinoff series Hokuto no Ken: Ken’o-gun Zako-tachi no Banka have revealed a new trailer, which announced its main opening and ending theme songs. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 5, 2026.
The short anime’s opening theme is “Blacker Co., Ltd.” by Itsuka, which is previewed in the latest trailer. Meanwhile, the ending theme is “Elegy of the Enemies” by The Canbellz.
The main voice cast for the series stars:
- • Masaaki Yano as Buzz
- • Hiro Shimono as Nobu
- • Shinnosuke Ogami as Zaku
- • Shinya Takahashi as Narrator
The spinoff short anime series will be the first release from the new “anime production” label Animatica, which is a collaboration between motion comics production company Do-Raku and Frontier Works.
The spinoff gag manga by Hiroshi Kurao was serialized on Coamix’s Manga Hot app service on November 26, 2017. It ended on February 23, 2020 and a total of three tankobon volumes were released in Japan.
A new TV anime series based on the Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken manga series will premiere in 2026.

The comedy has a tagline, “Three daily meals included, company room and board, no experience necessary!” In the year 199X after the nuclear apocalypse, our protagonist Nobu finds work as just another grunt in Ken-Oh’s army. Nobu learns how long he can last in a workplace where deaths outnumber even the job applicants.
