A new private personal training studio in Kent Town has been quietly building a waitlist and it’s not your typical gym.

The studio offers 1:1 or 1:2 training, fully qualified in-house nannies, play space, a stocked kitchen and private bathroom, designed with busy mums in mind.

“I think there’s a real shortage of that kind of intimate training at the moment, especially for women,” said owner and mother of two, Eli Moulton.

While Eli specialises in pre and postnatal training, the sessions are designed for all women who want to feel stronger, more confident and supported in their fitness journey.

The concept moves away from crowded classes and high-energy group workouts, instead focusing on a calm, one-on-one approach that meets clients where they’re at across different stages.

“We also have a sleeping room with cots, space for prams, and a kitchen where we can prepare food,” she said. “We’re stocking meals from local businesses for babies through to toddlers, just to make life easier for clients.”

The in-house childcare caters for babies through to school-aged children, with Eli offering a range of training styles tailored to each individual, from strength and conditioning to rehab, agility, and long-distance preparation.

“The way you train someone who’s up all night with a baby is very different to someone with injuries or different needs.”

“That’s the beauty of one-on-one, it’s completely personalised, which often gets lost in group environments,” Eli noted. “A lot of women find those spaces intimidating, so this allows them to build confidence in a more private setting.”

The new business is a bit of a win-win for Eli, who is juggling her own children and family needs at the same time.

“Having my daughter here with me in care, right next door, makes a huge difference,” Eli said. “I don’t feel like I’m dropping her off somewhere, I know she’s getting everything she needs.”

Em Body is now at full capacity, which is a pleasant surprise for Eli, as starting a new business is always hard to read.

“I didn’t expect that at all,” she said. “It’s been an incredible response, especially from women I hadn’t even met before.”
