An anime music video for the Fate/Grand Order game, featuring a short version of its Part 2 Final Chapter theme song “Tokei,” has been released. The Maaya Sakamoto song was released on the same date, December 28.
Part 2 Final Chapter began slightly earlier, on December 20. A 30-second animated trailer, storyboarded and unit directed by Shun Enokido with his Fate/strange Fake co-director Takahito Sakazume as animation director, was released on December 18.
Fate/Grand Order is a free-to-play mobile RPG and gacha game where players take on the role of a Master who tries to save humanity with the help of the Chaldea organization. It is part of the Fate franchise and Nasuverse and features a large roster of Servant characters.
The game was first released in 2015 in Japan and later in 2017 in the United States. Part 2, “Cosmos in the Lostbelt,” began in 2018. Aside from the game, which achieved more than ~US$7 billion in global revenue in 2023 according to Sensor Tower, there are also Fate/Grand Order manga, light novels, and anime.
Fate/Grand Order celebrated its 10th anniversary in August of this year.
