A new key visual, trailer, more cast, and main theme songs have been revealed for the upcoming Even a Replica Can Fall in Love TV anime series, which will air in Japan on April 7, 2026.

The latest trailer showcases the anime’s main theme songs, which include the opening theme “Refrain” by shytaupe and the ending theme “Awa” by asmi.
It also confirmed the addition of five new cast members, which include:
- • Yuki Takada as Ritsuko Hironaka
- • Kaori Nazuka as Suzumi Mori
- • Jun Fukuyama as Shun Mochizuki
- • Rina Hidaka as Kozue Satou
- • Shugo Nakamura as Haruka Yoshii
They join a previously announced voice cast that stars Sumire Moroboshi in the dual roles of Nao and Sunao Aikawa, while Ryota Suzuki voices Shuya Sanada.
Ryuichi Kimura (Aikatsu!, Mononogatari, Kemono Friends 2) is directing the anime series, with Tomoko Shinozuka (You Are Ms. Servant co-scriptwriter) as series composer and co-scriptwriter and Eiji Abiko (Mr Osomatsu Season 3 and 4) as character designer. Voil is in charge of the animation production.
Even A Replica Can Fall In Love (also known in Japan as Replica datte, Koi o suru, or Even A Replica Falls In Love) is based on the romance light novel series written by Harunadon and illustrated by raemz. It was first published by Dengeki Bunko on February 10, 2023 and has released five volumes in Japan as of August 2025. A sixth volume is scheduled to be published on April 10, 2026. The series won the 29th Dengeki Shosetsu Taishou Grand Prize.
A manga adaptation by Momose Hanada was launched in April 2023.

Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga for English release. It describes the main premise of the former as:
When she doesn’t feel well, when there’s a test, when she doesn’t want to go to school… I take her place. I’m her replica. I’m not meant for anything else. But that changed when I fell in love. I wear my hair up so the boy I fell for knows it’s me. We skip school and promise to meet again tomorrow, and every day after. I’m her replica. Everything about me is borrowed and empty, but my heart is mine.
