The England World Cup warm-up clash against Uruguay was delayed after Joaquin Piquerez was stretchered off early in the first half.
The defender went to the ground clutching his leg after a battle for the ball with Noni Madueke, who himself was subbed of late in the first half are picking up a knock.
The Three Lions were awarded their second corner kick of the game, but had to wait while the referee paused the game.
Medical staff at Wembley rushed on to the pitch where the began treatment.
After a delay of around five minutes, he was subbed off for Jose Maria Gimenez.
The departing player was met with loud applause from both sets of supporters.
The left-back for Brazilian club Palmeiras is a regular starter for the national team and will be hoping to travel to North America for the World Cup.
He has earned 18 caps for Uruguay since making his senior international debut in September 2021.

Madueke picked up a knock of his own shortly after.
The Arsenal forward was on the turf for a few minutes before getting to his feet to continue.
However, just 30 seconds later, he was forced to exit the pitch after going to ground again.
Jarred Bowen came on for England to replace the attacker.
