ECB D50 returns with Abu Dhabi defending title

The Emirates Cricket Board’s domestic 50-over competition starts on Monday, March 30, with six teams playing across venues in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah.

Abu Dhabi begin the latest D50 as defending champions after winning last year’s title. They are joined by Ajman, Dubai, Emirates Blues, Fujairah and Sharjah in this season’s tournament.

The final is scheduled for Friday, April 10, with the venue still to be confirmed.

The D50 has become a regular part of the UAE domestic calendar since its launch in 2020. This year’s event is the seventh edition and offers another chance for the country’s leading local players to press their case in a competitive 50-over format.

Fujairah have been the most successful team in recent years, winning three of the past six completed editions, while Emirates Blues, Emirates Reds and Abu Dhabi have each lifted the title once.

All matches are due to start at 9.30am local time.
