The Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City TV anime will begin its Japanese broadcast on January 10, while Prime Video will begin streaming it in the country earlier on January 7. A new trailer and visual were also revealed.
Additionally, Nonoka Obuchi was announced to be the ending song artist. The song is titled “Make it” and is used in the trailer.
Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord (Okiraku Ryoshu no Tanoshii Ryochi Boei) started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel by So Akaike in 2020. A light novel series debuted in 2021 and has eight volumes as of August 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the synopsis of the latter as such:
Van, fourth son of a marquis, is just a toddler when he realizes he’s been reincarnated. Thanks to his literal lifetime of knowledge, he’s raised as a child prodigy—until his production magic manifests, and it’s the last thing his snooty mage family wants to see! His disappointed father banishes him to a podunk town on the verge of collapse, yet Van can only see the place’s potential. Can our hero’s bastion of battlements build a better life than battle magic ever could?!

The light novel series is published under the Overlap Novels label and illustrated by Kururi. There is an Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord manga as well.
