Strong earthquake tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR and several parts of North India on Friday, triggering panic among residents who rushed out of homes and office buildings.
The tremors, recorded at around 9.50 pm, were reported from multiple cities, including Noida, Chandigarh, Ludhiana in Punjab, and Poonch, Srinagar, and Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, among several other locations.
Residents in high-rise buildings said the shaking lasted for a few seconds, with many reporting that household items moved and shook.
