Dragons fans eye apartment overlooking WIN Stadium as first home game looms

Okay, the St George Illawarra Dragons’ men’s first grade side didn’t enjoy much on-field success in 2025.

But with the new NRL season having just begun, the Dragons’ series of home games at WIN Stadium remain an event for Wollongong-based footy fans.

Having returned from the season launch in Las Vegas, their first home game for the regular season on Saturday will feature a clash with 2025 grand finalists Melbourne Storm.

And for those devotees wanting to own a property near the venue, soak in some of the atmosphere of game day as the NRL and NRLW teams go around later in the season, and maybe even enjoy a partial view of the action from their own home, there is an option currently on the market.

Selling agent, Darren Kay from Belle Property Illawarra said the location of the modern corner apartment with ocean views was likely to appeal to plenty of Dragons fans.

According to Cotality records, the listing was previously sold in 2014 for $725,000, and was listed for rent at $780 per week in March 2025.

Also, according to Cotality, the current median unit value in Wollongong is $812,307.

The listing occupies a prime seaside location overlooking Osborne Park to Belmore Basin beyond and capturing views from Flagstaff Point Lighthouse to Royal National Park in the north.

Cotality records show the property was sold after 283 days on the market.
