The hit new U.S. medical drama Doc returns to Seven later this month, with Felicity Huffman joining the cast for its expanded second season.
The FOX series, which premiered its second season in September last year, continues to follow Dr Amy Larsen, played by Molly Parker, as she rebuilds her medical career after a car accident erased eight years of her memory.
No longer Chief of Internal Medicine at Westside Hospital, Amy is forced to start again as an intern while confronting the personal and professional consequences of the life she can no longer remember.

Season two arrives with a significantly increased episode order, expanding to 22 episodes after the first season launched with just 10, following strong viewership for the series and continued audience interest in the medical drama genre.
The double episode premiere down under sees Amy’s past resurface in devastating fashion, alongside a complex medical case involving a desperate father and a critically ill patient awaiting a heart transplant.
Huffman, best known for her long running role on Desperate Housewives, enters the story as Dr Joan Ridley, Amy’s former mentor, whose arrival brings unresolved history and heightened tension back into the hospital corridors.
All episodes from the first season of Doc are available to stream now on 7plus.
Doc season two returns Tuesday 27 January with a double episode premiere, streaming from 6.00pm on 7plus and airing at 8.30pm on Channel 7.
