Four new voice cast members have been announced for the upcoming Dark Machine the Animation TV anime series. The anime will premiere in Japan sometime in 2026.
The new voice cast members include:
- • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Myojin
- • Ryota Suzuki as Ryo
- • Genta Nakamura as Kinji
- • Sohei Horikane as Hiru
They join a previously announced voice cast that consists of:
- • Kensho Ono as Kairi
- • Miyuki Sawashiro as Rudra
- • Koki Uchiyama as Shin
- • Saya Aizawa as Isana
- • Yuichi Nakamura as Majima
Kazumi Terada is directing Dark Machine the Animation, with Goro Taniguchi (ONE PIECE FILM RED and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection director, Enter The Garden anthology) as creative producer, Hidetaka Tenjin (Bullet/Bullet, Knights and Magic) as mechanical designer, and Ko Yoshinari (White Album animation designer, Made in Abyss creature designer, Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk character designer) as main character designer. Production +h is in charge of the animation production.
Team Carbuncle, which consists of Takaaki Suzuki, Tatsuhiko Urahata, Ashio Ishino, and Satohito Sata, is handling the series composition and scripts for the anime series.
Taniguchi and Tenjin are also involved with the original Dark Machine game. It was first announced in 2023 with a 2025 release date and 2024 Early Access start date. The game is described as a “7 vs 7 team shooter featuring destructible mechs and maps situated against two parallel universes, The Light and The Dark,” and features NFTs and NFT staking (akin to an NFT version of fixed deposits).

The main premise of Dark Machine the Animation focuses on the protagonist Kairi getting involved with Dark Machine after an encounter with Rudra, while the latter is being pursued by subordinates of the top Dark Machine player Majima. In the setting, Dark Machine is a popular esports game that has influenced Japan’s financial system, and the top player reigns over the game’s Japanese special economic zone, Golden Valley.
