The Cyberabad police on Tuesday returned 1,016 recovered mobile phones worth about ₹3.04 crore to their rightful owners during the 10th phase of a mobile phone recovery and distribution programme.
Officials said the devices were traced and recovered through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, a system introduced by the Government of India to track lost or stolen mobile phones.
