Cricket and quiz show worlds collide as some of the game’s sharpest minds step up to a very different kind of pressure test, trading boundary ropes for brain power under studio lights.
Four well known figures from across Australian cricket are set to swap bat and ball for buzzers in a special cricket themed edition of The Chase Australia, bringing prime time energy and plenty of competitive fire.
The celebrity line up includes Sydney Thunder General Manager and Seven cricket commentator Trent Copeland, Hobart Hurricanes captain Elyse Villani, respected cricket writer and broadcaster Bharat Sundaresan, and Australian spin bowling great Nathan Lyon.

Standing between them and victory is one of the show’s toughest regulars, Brydon Coverdale, better known to viewers as The Shark, who also happens to be a cricket expert himself.

The special will see the team trade sporting instincts for fast thinking trivia, working together under pressure as they attempt to outsmart one of television’s sharpest quiz minds.
Beyond the bragging rights, the match up also carries extra meaning, with the team playing to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation, supporting breast cancer nurses across communities around Australia.
Produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Seven Network, the one off event leans into cricket trivia, rivalry and light hearted fun, while keeping the stakes very real.
