A child is seriously injured after allegedly being stabbed in Launceston, with a woman charged with attempted murder.
The child presented to Launceston General Hospital just before midnight on Monday with knife wounds, police said.
He was flown to Melbourne for further medical treatment in a serious condition.

A 33-year-old woman, who is known to the child, also presented to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
She has been charged with attempted murder and remains in hospital under police guard.
The woman will appear in a bedside court sitting later on Tuesday.
Police have asked anyone with any information to come forward.
