Chickens & Demons Clash in New Rooster Fighter TV Anime Trailer

VIZ Media has revealed a new English-subtitled trailer for the upcoming Rooster Fighter TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in English dub on March 14, 2026 at 12:00 AM EST. The series will premiere in Japan three weeks later on April 5, 2026. 

The latest trailer also highlights the show’s main opening theme song “What’s a Hero?” by Japanese rock band DARUMA Rollin’.

Daisuke Suzuki (D4DJ All Mix, D4DJ Double Mix) is directing the anime series, with Hiroshi Seko (Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen) as series composer, and Joseph Chou and Sola Entertainment as producers. Sanzigen is handling the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s previously announced voice cast includes:

  • • Mariko Honda as Elizabeth
  • • Shiori Izawa as Piyoko 
  • • Yuko Kaida as Kugone
  • • Jun Kasama as Yuji 
  • • Natsumi Fujiwara as Hikari
  • • Akio Otsuka as Keizan 
  • • Hikaru Tono as Sara 
  • • Mitsuaki Kanuka as Morio
  • • Tomohiro Ono as Keisuke 

VIZ Media acquired Rooster Fighter’s streaming and TV broadcast rights outside of Japan. Hulu will stream the anime in the U.S starting on March 14, 2026, while Disney+ will stream it in other select countries and territories worldwide. 

The action comedy manga series by Shu Sakuratani began serialization on Hero’s Inc’s Comiplex website on December 18, 2020. Eleven tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of January 2026.

VIZ Media licensed the Rooster Fighter manga for English release and describes the main premise as:

The neighborhood cock of the walk is more than just an ordinary rooster—he’s humanity’s greatest defender! His opponents may be ten stories tall, but nothing is bigger than his stout heart and his fearsome battle cry—cock-a-doodle-doo!
