Boston Seaport Rolls Out the Picnic Blanket for Picnic at The Current This Spring
The Latest Season of The Current Debuts April 30 with Interactive Pop-Ups, Local Favorites, and Seasonal Treats
BOSTON, MA — April 8, 2026 – The Current returns to Boston Seaport on April 30 with a fresh new theme for its 19th season: Picnic at The Current. Inspired by the timeless ritual of gathering outdoors around good food and sunshine, these pop-ups bring together nine standout brands across style, beauty, and more. Open April 30 through August 30, 2026, the pop-up destinations along Seaport Common will once again transform into a vibrant retail destination filled with new discoveries and returning favorites.
Picnic at The Current reimagines the pop-up concept as a playful outdoor gathering space inspired by the charm of a sunny afternoon picnic. Bright colors, cheerful patterns, and warm-weather textures bring the concept to life, creating an inviting atmosphere where visitors can browse unique brands, enjoy seasonal snacks, and take in the waterfront-air. Located alongside Seaport Common, the neighborhood’s central green space and a perfect spot for picnicking, the village invites guests to enjoy the setting beyond the shop houses. Picnic-inspired design elements, whimsical details, and comfortable gathering spaces encourage guests to slow down and enjoy the experience.
“Each season at The Current is an opportunity to introduce new brands and fresh experiences to the Seaport community while continuing to support emerging entrepreneurs and creative concepts,” says Cailey Hudson, Director of Retail Experience & Incubation at WS Development. “Picnic at The Current captures the spring-is-here energy and brings together a dynamic mix of local favorites, new brands, and interactive experiences that invite visitors to slow down, explore, and enjoy the neighborhood.”
Throughout the season, visitors can discover pop-ups where guests can create their own custom products, from personalized lip colors and fragrances to trucker hats and charm jewelry, indulge in a snack, sip on matcha, or explore performance gear and lifestyle finds. Picnic at The Current’s lineup includes:

The pop-up will also feature exclusive designs and new charms available throughout the season.

Throughout the season, the brand will also bring its training ethos directly to the neighborhood.“Boston is NOBULL’s hometown, so having a retail presence in the city where the brand was born is incredibly meaningful to us. Joining The Current allows us to connect with our customers in person and celebrate the community that helped shape the brand from the start. We’re excited to have a physical space where our community can experience the product, the mentality, and the culture that define NOBULL.” – Susie Mulder, Chief Operating Officer, NOBULL

At the pop-up, guests may browse a rotating selection of decor, gifts and lifestyle pieces while also receiving in-store styling guidance.“As someone who went to school and started her career in Boston, it is a dream come true to bring my vision and something I’ve created from scratch into the city that made me.
