Dramatic footage has emerged of a civilian tackling one of the Bondi Beach shooters, and removing a rifle from him in an act of heroism.
The bystander can be seen sneaking around a car and pouncing on the shooter, wrangling the gun from his hands.
The hero can then be seen pointing the rifle at the shooter as the gunman backs away.

The terrifying scenes were caught on camera by someone filming from a nearby building as the shooting unfolded on Sunday evening.
Police and emergency services responded to reports of shooters firing at a crowd gathered beside the beach just before 7pm.
